They are great and do exactly what I wanted. We recently moved and had 3 baby gates that we used previously and when I tried to install one in our new hallway it didn't fit properly. I had two extensions and it was still barely short. The screws you adjust for tension were so far out that they were really unstable and the gate didn't stay upright for long. I figured if they were just about an inch further apart it would be stable enough. I was about to buy a new gate wide enough for our hallway. But I was disappointed with the idea of buying another gate when we already had 3. When I came across these wall cups I thought I might try them and hopefully it gives me that extra inch I need to make the gate sturdy. I just assembled the gate with them and am very satisfied! Now the gate is really stable and the bottom shells work really well with the toe board. Although the cups are at an angle on the base, the screws remain straight. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has a baby gate, if only because they help protect your walls from damage. Overall a great product and I am very satisfied!
