Review on 🔑 J-ACCES Key Fob Case Shell Replacement: Fits BMW 3 5 Series, X5, X6, Z4 Keyless Entry Remote Car Key Cover Casing with Uncut Blade Blank by Rick Bishop

So far I'm pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting a perfect match, but as far as I know it's pretty close. The key fob shell itself is identical in proportions, material and color seem to be exactly the same. I replaced the battery (ruining the old fob in the process, hence the replacement) and the new battery and PCB insert fit the fob perfectly. It has a nice, firm click when squeezed and closed. FYI, the key fob body comes disassembled, so don't worry about taking it apart. Just insert the guts and connect them. I was also pleased that there is a BMW sticker on the key fob (it's sealed with black tape that you just have to peel off) and it feels close. This saves the $10 I set aside to order a replacement ID card from FCP Euro. I can't tell if the logo's texture is the same, but for now I'm not too worried and that's enough for me. The only difference I noticed is my oldest key insert, which has the slightest gap when inserted into the key fob. I don't think it shows in photos and it doesn't bother me - and I'm special. If you look at the photos of the two keys side by side you can see the slight difference in size. I personally don't use a blank key as I have the original key and just need a new case so no comment on that. Net Result: I'm happy with the purchase and relieved that I only had to spend $20 (battery + key fob) compared to the $240+ the thieving company charged me. UPDATE 8/9/20: Tearing is no longer a problem, I put the key back in and it fits just right. Now I've noticed that the shapes and text are slightly different, but not by much. Also, the gray/silver parts of the key are a slightly different color, and the replacement key has a matte finish. Overall I'm still very satisfied and the keychain works great.
