Protects against sand and splashes. The strap makes it easy to carry. Definitely NOT for submersion in water - the top seal is not airtight or watertight. The phone will quickly overheat if left in a pocket for a while, so not for prolonged use on a hot day. Worked but you have to remove the case to put it in your pocket. My daughter dropped hers and her screen shattered when she took her out of her bag so it was a big disappointment. Next time I'll spend more for a better product.
