This is a very comfortable and well made sock holder; You will have no problem fitting it to a frosted tank. My pool isn't finished yet, but today I filled my main pool and filtered the brine mixture through this filter. this will be installed in my sump once i assemble it. I would recommend attaching a small piece of tubing to the bottom of the fitting that comes with the kit and threading the fitting up; When the threads are up and the bottom of the pipe is missing, water will splash and flow around the filter sleeve, and with the threads down, the filter sleeve is a bit difficult to install and remove as they interfere with the threaded portion of the fitting. A small piece of pipe short enough to clean the filter's sock will solve the spatter problem.
