What is the probability that two devices bought on different days both fail shortly after being put into service? We completely lost video on one device when it wouldn't start even on a full charge. When plugged into the mains, there was an endless high-pitched squeak indicating a full charge, but as soon as we pressed the power button the screen activated for a short time and then turned off. It never turns on again. We could save the footage if we remove the drive/chip and plug it into the laptop for transfer, but the recording media cannot be inserted/removed for transfer to another device. The other bodycam froze completely - not a single button worked, not even the shutdown button. until the battery was completely empty, then when it was charged again it started working but we were constantly afraid that it would freeze again or be like the first device. We need reliable hardware/software and this proved to be a real disappointment. We originally bought it for claims of longer battery life than the competition, but even that wasn't something we were hoping for. One camera had a built in flashlight, the other didn't even work from day one. I think we need to spend more to meet our needs. We are open to suggestions.
