There is nothing mysterious about this type of template. All current manufacturers follow the same pattern and all work well. This is no exception. This one has small tips to keep it off the paper so you can draw on this pattern without leaving big smudges. The plastic is painted green and textured on one side for "pleasing to the eye". Ellipses have alignment marks so you can align the ellipse along the major and minor axes. In short, it does exactly what it advertises. Definitely recommended if you're working from an isometric perspective and need nice, sharp ellipses.
