My boyfriend was raving about his birddogs this summer so I wanted to try something like this. I've never worn birddogs, I bought Ol' Faithfuls last week and LOVE them. I've worn them 3 days in a row (2 days every day with underwear, 3rd day without underwear for a long time) and they look great with t-shirts, collared shirts, active tops or solo. They are extremely comfortable, appear to be very well made and can be used in almost any non-cold weather activity I can think of. The pockets are really good (two front pockets, two side zipped pockets with different orientation). Activities they have already gone through: 2 hours sitting in a conference room, 6+ hours running, 4+ hours biking, fooling around. home, an 8-mile run and a game at Vodoborets water park with my daughter. I wore these Freeballs as intended during my 8 mile run pushing a stroller at 90 FCO and they felt great (I'm picky about running shorts). I then kept my phone in a zip pocket while playing with the water jets with my 1 year old daughter and my phone stayed dry! I could take it out, take a photo/video and protect my phone again. These shorts are not meant to be waterproof but they definitely kept my phone dry and after 20 minutes the shorts felt completely dry and I was able to walk home.
