I bought this to use my Jetboil stove with cast iron skillet instead of dual stoves. This saves space as the adapter simply fits into the JB pan. It cooked great on cast iron and was sturdy enough to leave unattended for a few minutes. I wouldn't use an oversized pan for this and would recommend something with good heat distribution like cast iron as the flames will still be concentrated in one spot. But it makes your jetboil a lot more versatile and it doesn't cost anything. Please note that it does not snap onto the JB burner in any way, so it may fall off during use if your pan slips. However, it doesn't seem to heat up much, or at least cool down very quickly, so it's easy to put it back on when it does.
