Well, I've learned my lesson. Never buy anything without reading the reviews here. I set up this phone yesterday so I have a reliable phone for an important call this morning. I canceled the entire meeting because everyone on the call could hear the hiss and buzz of my phone. I had to hang up and call my house phone to be heard. I had a Uniden once and they were fine so I can't see what's wrong with this model but it's totally useless. I already disabled it and will buy Panasonic DEC 6.0 (Revain ASIN: B000LYAX1G) instead (received excellent reviews). ; the ability to be on two "extensions" at the same time; limited answering machine performance; etc. I could go on and on but these things might be acceptable if the phone had good sound quality. Without these, the functions are meaningless.
