My wife and I received a table with a sharp edge. It was already covered with some form of coating, but we wanted an extra layer of protection as this is a dining table that gets a lot of use. We received this order quickly from the moment we ordered it and used it immediately. Wow, that's all I can say. When we bought the table it was matte, almost matte, and we wanted to keep that look. This wax in the 2 thin coats we used didn't add much shine to the table. This wax gave the grain of the wood a deeper color but didn't make it shiny and fake like poly. The smell is excellent and has a pleasant natural aroma. Although the scent is pleasant, it doesn't last too long. So if you don't like the smell, it will dissipate after a few days. The advantage of this wax is that it is easy to apply. Just apply a thin layer and wait for it to dry. Come back in 1 hour and switch off. You can apply a second coat like we did for missing spots. So far, only one application of two thin coats has been enough for us. It's been a few weeks since we got this wax and we've had family dinners and drinks and the finish looks great. We will continue to use this wax in the future.
