Review on DDSky USB Fingerprint Reader One-Pack - Portable Biometric Scanner for Windows 10 with Enhanced Windows Hello Features by Knate Scarpelli

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's tricky but I was able to install it on Windows 10

originally wanted to return it after over an hour trying to figure out how to get the little guy to work. Here's how I was able to get it to work. My Windows 10 didn't automatically have the required driver available. Update driver does not work. So how do you make it work? - Go to Windows Update. At the top was the indescribable "More options" or "Close". If the fingerprint reader is connected to a USB port, select "Advanced options" to open more options than Microsoft normally includes. Select ELAN fingerprint. - wow, it works and you can set it up as security settings to recognize your fingerprints, you need to enter a longer and more secure password. Fingerprint recognition isn't as good as it could be. Maybe 70% recognition in my case. I'll try training it again to see if I can improve the accuracy a bit. Minus one star. I don't understand why a company isn't kind enough to do a useful job when so many people have given low reviews because they can't make it work. Or maybe they couldn't figure out how to use it with newer Windows updates. Or a language barrier? Minus 1 star (I'm generous). Can't figure out how to use it with newer windows updates.
