I love to play with my guinea pigs but they go to the toilet A LOT. I needed a really big blanket to cover the play area, but the regular fleece blankets I buy at Ikea for $4 don't absorb moisture, are too small, and slip too easily. The urine will just stay on top and they will walk through and get urine all over the place. Such a smelly mess! it is big, heavy, non-slip and absorbent. The stitching is very strong so I think this cover will last many washes which is good because I put it in the washing machine after each use. So far it hasn't had that constant barn smell that my other blankets have (I have to keep them in the garage so the house doesn't stink). When this blanket gets old I plan to use parts of it as bedding. My cages are for piglets as they don't move that easily. Very happy with this blanket so far! For the price I was really expecting something less heavy. If all the layers stay glued I will be very impressed. I will update the rating if it breaks prematurely.
