This little viewer is perfect for my needs. I found boxes of old slides and negatives in the attic and wanted to go through them to decide which ones to develop. Other reviewers complained of a few issues that didn't bother me: 1) Lack of magnification: The view was slightly larger for me and met my needs for clearly identifiable imagery for decision-making; 2) slides sometimes hung when the eject button was pressed - like any other device - but fell out immediately if the viewer was turned upside down while pressing the eject button; 3) The negative streaks still show up as negatives, but for my purposes they're easy to identify. The biggest problem is getting rolled old negatives through the slot, but changing the direction of the roll and trying both sides of the entrance usually got them through. The problem is old, curly, the film, not the viewer. And hello! It comes with 4 batteries and is neatly stored in a compact, sturdy box. I recommend this viewer for slide identification, decision making and great memories.
