I gave this 4 stars because (1) slides get stuck inside and don't eject easily, (2) negatives and filmstrips need to be long enough to pass through manually Insertion and extraction on the other hand, therefore not all dimensions can be viewed with this viewer. (3) Supplied with power input but no cable. Otherwise, it serves its purpose and is immediately ready for use.

I found 3 large trays of slides that I knew were taken from my late father. I bought this slideshow and found some very important family photos from my parents' travels and family vacations as a child. It was great to remember these photos and memories and share them with family. I buy Revain often and this is the best purchase I have ever made.

What a joke! It didn't fit my old standard 35mm slides. The slot is too small. When I cropped the slide to see if it would help, I pasted it in but couldn't extract it. The quality of the image was so-so, and for photographing it wouldn't be good to digitize because of the glare. Terrible. He comes back.

Magnification is good, lighting is very good. As some others have mentioned, some slides get stuck, but I keep tweezers nearby. I think it's the slides, not the viewer.

Seriously, this is one of my happy purchases. We had thousands of old family slides and didn't have a projector to look at them. We wanted to be able to view slides and make decisions about converting or deleting slides. They were old and stored in a warehouse, so some of them had stretched out from the damp. I didn't like that old slides got stuck and had to be removed with tweezers. But hey, these slides were made in the 1940s. The viewer is ideal for organizing slides before transferring them to new formats. You know, so you can give them to your kids and grandkids and be sure they'll watch and enjoy them on, say, a flash drive and not an old Kodak Carousel projector.
