I am very happy with this scanner. It was easy to set up. The software is very easy to install on a Windows 7 laptop. The software is not intuitive, but after reading the manual you should be able to navigate it easily. It is powered by a USB cable, which is very convenient. I needed an inexpensive scanner that I could use a few times a month in my home office and this was just what I needed . The speed isn't bad, the quality is good, the software is no worse than any other scanner I've used, it works without a power adapter. A note.
