This is a great little scanner for the money. Very compact and light. Fast and accurate scanning. The program is high quality and easy to use. When scanning documents, this is a one-click process. Color copy is good too. (See Editing) This works well for archiving photos. I scan schematics and it captures fine lines very well. Only the durability is not yet known. I've been using it for less than a month but so far so good. I've been using flatbed scanners since the 80's so I have a point of reference. They just keep getting better and this little guy shows the difference very well. The only thing to remember when working with this device is not to connect or disconnect the USB cable while the computer is running. This can cause driver issues, so only do this when the computer is off. So if you're looking for a small, inexpensive document scanner, this is a really good choice. Also, they show the USB cable that many people buy with this one. That's wrong. I bought it blind and made a mistake. The scanner comes with the correct one. Edited 7/2/14 I didn't find this scanner that good for long term color prints. Certainly not high-quality scans. Color scans are too grainy and software settings don't matter. It is suitable for basic business color scanning and is excellent for black and white documents. I use it all the time as a business copier. The buttons on the front are very useful. One-touch for PDF or printer output. If you are looking for high quality photo scans I would keep looking.
