I bought these blades and I thought "Oh, titanium coating! Maybe they'll last longer than regular blades, cool." Well, let's take a look at the blade (see my photo). You'll notice an orange finish, presumably titanium, which should make it stronger and more durable. But if you look closely , you will notice that the edge of the blade is silver. They ground down the titanium coating to form the edge. This means the MOST IMPORTANT part of these blades is exactly the same as any other uncoated blade. *face palm* Now is I noticed it in the photos before I bought it but decided to give it a try anyway. We use them for business and standard blades typically 4 days and then noticeably dull and become unusable after 10 days. These titanium blades last as long as uncoated blades. :/ If you're a casual user or hobbyist cutting light quilting fabrics a few times a week or month, you're probably fine ung for you, but if uncoated blades offer a cost saving, by all means use them. The titanium coating is nothing more than a marketing ploy.
