Fantastic correction and resolution

Before deciding on this expensive lens I did a lot of research and was a bit skeptical about exaggerations, especially since I don't use zoom lenses for commercial work. So when I took it to the first weekend of shooting, I immediately understood why people raved about its capabilities. I needed the best ultra wide match for the Zeiss Primes I've shot in decades and this is it. The micro-contrast is excellent, HA minimal to zero, lines are pleasantly straight (hardly to correct in Lightroom) and colors are brilliant. If there was an Otus 18 or 20mm lens, this is what it would look like. Portraits at longer focal lengths are fantastic in the middle two-thirds, and only slightly distorted (but still nice) in the outer third, and skin tones look very good. Can't talk about image stabilization or autofocus - I don't use them. The only downside might be the price, but in this case you get what you pay for. Very, very impressed.

Cons
