I had to set my Wii to 480i to make it work or it flickers and syncs with my Sony Bravia TV. Set to 480i it works great. So I think there is a conflict between the 480p output of the Wii (a first generation that also plays GameCube games) and the adapter. As far as I can tell the adapter needs a 480i signal as it wants to convert to 480p on its own. It then sends the 480p signal to the TV via the HDMI cable. I'm pretty sure this is the correct estimate because I've tried it with 3 different TVs (also LG and Vizio) and got the same results. This should be explained in the documentation. That limitation aside, this adapter works GREAT. -- Once you have correctly set your Wii to 480i (NOT 480p). This task wasn't enough to deduct a star, so I didn't. But they should really explain it to people, it saves them a headache when setting it up.
