Review on πŸ• Top-Rated Grain-Free Red Meat Recipe: USA-Made Natural Dry Dog Food for All Breeds and Sizes by Tracey Brown

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Two of my friend's three dogs love this food; the other hit him cool

I got this for my friend's dogs to supplement with other food. Two dogs ate it enthusiastically, but the third took it calmly and just sniffed it but didn't eat it. As you can see, they are spoiled by being hand fed. The food itself is small, dark and round. It's made in the US (e.g. Ohio) but I'm not sure where the ingredients come from. The ingredients are good except for the lentils and peas (see note). The first 18 ingredients: Buffalo Meal, Red Lentils, Green Peas, Chickpeas, Lamb Meal, Canola Oil, Carrots, Celery, Beets, Parsley, Lettuce, Watercress, Spinach, Tomato Pomace, Menhaden Fish Oil, Ground Flaxseed, Natural Flavor, Lecithin, etc. Please note that it is not recommended to feed your dog exclusively grain-free unless he is allergic to grains. This is because veterinarians are discovering a link between heart disease (like dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs) and grain-free dog food. This disease is mainly associated with foods that contain peas, lentils, other legumes, or potatoes as the main ingredients, and such foods include lentils, peas, and chickpeas. However, I believe that you should only feed this food to your dog as a supplement to your dog's diet and not as an exclusive meal. I like that the bag closes with a zipper. This keeps the pieces fresh. The current price of $17.99 for Β£4 is competitive but expensive. It's a good supplement as long as the dog eats it, but I wouldn't feed it exclusively grain-free.
