An audiophile interpretation of this wireless system ANC

was damaged I have just received the H95 and have had the APM for about 6 months now. Prior to APM I had a Sony WH-1000XM3 for several years which was mainly used for my frequent business trips to Asia and the US. For this purpose the Sony was quite adequate - to drown out the in-flight noise - but the sound wasn't up to par as I'm a music lover with headphones like the Abyss AB-1266 Phi TC and RAAL SR1a with the Chord engine. TT2 DAC, Mscaler and TToby amp and using Audeze LCDi4 and dedicated JH Audio Layla IEM for mobile devices. So, I'm one of those crazy audiophiles (although I've decided I've had enough and that I've reached my goal in this sort of thing) and decided I really need to update my collection of mobile true wireless devices and ANC -Headphones. Compared to the Sony XM3, APM is definitely a big upgrade in almost every way - especially in terms of sound, but also in terms of usability. For me, the comfort wasn't as good as I expected and there was an issue with moisture condensation in the ear cups that became annoying after an hour or two, which frustrated me. That's when I started looking for alternatives. I've gone through Sony and Bose QC over the years and wanted to get away from them, even though they're good for their price range. So I looked at more expensive options like M&D, B&W, and Mont Blanc before deciding that APM made the most sense. The ANC is great and the sound is very good, but I just couldn't get used to it. I liked it but didn't like it. B&O H95 is on my radar. I rolled my eyes at the price at first, but my goodness, the Abyss headphones with their TOTL cable are almost 10x more expensive and they require another $17,000 DAC, amp and cable so this could very well be a 'bargain' " be. . in comparison. Also, I can take it with me on business trips and hikes, as well as in the office (at work and at home) without tangles and I still enjoy a fairly decent sound quality. That was my hope and plan and I have to say it worked exactly as I expected. The H95 is great and fixes all of APM's shortcomings, small as they are. Build quality is excellent as expected with all the features you need and I love the volume and ANC level controls, although the small knob on the workstation is fine too. Most of the time I set ANC to max and that's fine. I find the H95's ANC to be excellent and very comparable to APM and the Sony XM3. Comfort is definitely better than APM for me. I don't know about APM but I don't think it fits my head as well as H95. With the H95 it will take me longer to form a judgement, but after a few hours it still feels good and I don't have the annoying condensation that I experienced with the APM. Important factor, the H95 won't compare to TOTL 'Summit-Fi' headphones that I own or have owned in the past from companies like Abyss, RAAL, Hifiman and Audeze, but they just belong together different category and at a different price . Point. That being said, I'm pretty impressed with the overall sound quality of the H95. Even stepping out of this absurd segment of the audiophile world, I can say I'd be happy with the H95's sound quality for most of the day, and dump the expensive stuff into occasional serious listening sessions when I'm ready to be chained. with bulky cables to a quagmire of boxes connected by a spaghetti of more cables. The H95's sound is very clear, balanced, neutral and spacious with deep but unobtrusive bass. The soundstage is by far the best I've heard from wireless ANC headphones and the picture is superb too with good separation between different instruments. The mids sound full and very natural. The highs have just the right amount of shimmer and never get in the way no matter what genre I play. I mainly listen to classical, jazz, acoustic and ambient electronics, although sometimes I pull out my old rock, metal and pop music. I prefer a very balanced sound without focusing on specific frequency bands and the H95's sound signature delivers exactly that. I still plan to keep the APM and I'm sure my wife will use it more often than I do do it now I guess that's basically what she is now. Overall, for me, the H95 is significantly better - especially in terms of sound, but also in terms of comfort - than the APM. To me the H95 sounds a lot better, although APM is no slouch and certainly sounds a lot better than the Sony XM3 which I've now gifted to one of my sons. My wife and sons get my leftovers. Ha ha. In summary the H95 is everything I expected from it and for me it's definitely worth every penny. Похоже, что пройдет еще какое-то время, прежде чем я смогу отправиться в свои ежеквартальные 23-недельные командировки в Азию, чтобы посетить поставщиков и клиентов или даже в США в связи с этой бесконечной пандемией, но H95 будет великолепен как дома, так и in the office. . Very happy with the H95 and would highly recommend them to music lovers who want the best possible wireless ANC headphones. That being said I totally understand that $850 can seem ridiculous when there are very good options like APM, XM4, Bose 700 and other great brands like Bowers & Wilkins and Master & Dynamic. If you can allocate a budget, do so. It's not perfect, but it validates pretty much all fields.
