Skip the cheaper plastic gauges and buy these instead

Like others here I've gone through several cheap plastic gauges where the inner tongue just stopped working. Save some energy in the future and spend a little more money on it. I couldn't use the included L bracket (wrong direction for my installation) so I removed the magnet bar from the bracket and just attached it directly to the door. Note: The package does not include screws/hardware. Specifications from box: Reed switch rating: 100 mA at 28 VDC. Current Make (Mark): 2 3/8" (60mm) Spacing (Open): 2 5/8" Min. (67mm) Cord Length: 24"
