I received this wedge heel as a wedding gift. One of the rubber grips was poorly connected to begin with and was never very sharp. The metal around the core section is particularly bulky and not well suited for cutting. The final thing for my corer was that after owning it for about three months and using it on maybe half a dozen apples, all the metal components shattered when I tried to slice an apple the size of a lunch box. I will definitely look around for replacements from other manufacturers.
