Excellent knee protection, but the buckles break and the elastic deforms easily. After my knee replacement I was told that I would be lucky if I could kneel again because the pain was too much. Not so with these pads. My job requires me to be on my knees in some pretty rough muddy areas and these pads protect them perfectly. They support the shin and take most of the weight off the knee itself. I get a pair for each of my employees just to reduce wear and possible injury. The only problem I have with them and the reason they don't get 5 stars is the buckles break and the elastic bends (constantly stretching) too soon. If the buckle breaks, you'll have to thread the elastic through the slot (this takes a long time, especially when it's wet, not to mention cold), and if the elastic is deformed, you'll need to replace it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a replacement for her. If the company can solve both of these problems, these are the best things after the bread cutting!
