This hour meter worked properly and accurately. I tested the first hour with my watch mowing the lawn and it worked great. It stopped working before the 9 o'clock mark. I checked the wires and made sure I was getting power. I was. I don't have any wiring or power issues, but the meter doesn't work after 9 hours. It fits perfectly on my IH 782 Cub Cadet. It was easy to connect and worked great for 9 hours. I'm not sure if I have a defective one or if the quality doesn't allow the mower to withstand shocks and sudden stops and starts. Addendum: Excellent customer service. They send me another unit to replace this one. I appreciate it very much. I have updated my rating to 5 stars.
