Advantages: Made from ASTM 316 stainless steel. Easy to use. marine class. The 1/8 inch stainless steel cable was supplied on a 600 foot spool. It is made of 316 stainless steel. 1/8" diameter, 7x7 construction. This means it is made up of 7 groups of 7 strands twisted together to form a strong flexible cable. I have a 1/8". -Cable tested on an Instron 4465. Wire consistently broke at about 1650 lbs. Rated strength 1780 lbs. Point of break when you use the tip as an end stop was about 1400 lbs. Although I don't really need it to be over 1000 lbs. It might be more critical in other applications such as slab props etc. I was wanting to use this cable for a railing system.Although not enough to do the job I want.If the first run goes well...I will buy more However, I want to see before I do. I was expecting to receive wire cutters with this product. But it didn't come with a spool. I couldn't find a guarantee in either the product info or the item description. I have this pro product in exchange for an honest review. Overall I think it's good value for money. The cable I've unraveled so far has been flawless. The wires are not broken, twisted or deburred.
