I read the mixed reviews about this brush, but for the price decided to try them. I have been very happy! The bristles, to me, feel very soft. I have never had any fall out. We are on our second brush (we lost the first while traveling.) We started brushing at 1 year, with four teeth and now we are up to 8 teeth and 2 bulging gums where molars are getting ready to erupt. This is the only tooth brush we have tried and our son loves it. He happily lets me brush his teeth and sensitive gums. He sometimes likes to bite down on the hard plastic of the brush, but I try not to let him. It rinses easily and every few days I run boiling water from the kettle over it. The head of the tooth brush fits his mouth well. I will continue to buy these until he has more teeth and a bigger mouth.
