I got this opener to replace the Easter model. I actually had two Easter knives. I'm finally fed up with Easter knives losing their charge. This knife is powerful and has a significant weight when held. I've opened about a dozen bottles with it. Here are my impressions: * I like the stainless steel design but for some reason I don't really like the blue LED. * The corkscrew on this opener is much thicker than the Oster so there is more damage to the cork when opening * The Chefman opens really solidly and has enough torque for hard or synthetic corks * The foil cutter that comes with this opener is one of a kind the first one I've had that cuts through the cork really clean. Foil.* A little awkward to bring the opener back to the charging stand. The oster snaps into place and this more or less sits on the base and lights up with a sticky blue LED when good contact is made. so that it doesn't disturb furniture (e.g. my wine cabinet). In general, it holds a load well and opens well. I haven't had the Chefman long enough to know how the battery lasts. So far I'm happy with the looks and performance. He travels well and does a good job uncorking wines.
