So thankful to be able to buy this from Revain! have seen. It's so special! I read all the reviews before purchasing and was a bit concerned about some of the references to the shine and the faux look. However, I noticed that most of these reviews are from 2015, so I was hoping they had been improved. It arrived yesterday and I was not disappointed! The size is great and fills our 1960's fireplace perfectly. My 6 inch son wore it and pretended to have heavy "hands full" of firewood and it looked realistic to us :) Unlike some other customers, I don't try to create a realistic looking fire with colored candles generate. Personally, I love the look of the tree trunks that were drilled to make the votive candle holders, so I love that aspect of this faux set. I've dealt with several chemical sensitivities, so a real fire in our fireplace is rare these days. I bought votive candles made from palm wax (without paraffin). I also love beeswax candles, but they are very expensive. I highly recommend this - I also think it's a great spring/summer option when using fireplaces in the fall/winter. It adds such a cozy glow!
