I washed it the day I got it (hot warm cycle w. disinfectant). Flip it inside out before washing. I threw it in the dryer on medium air cycle and it was still fluffy. Took about 30 minutes to dry (I fluffed the half way through, to make sure dried it completely.) it will shed a little when you dry it which is good before I don’t want the loose sheds to get in my hair and clothes. The DUVET is really heavy and thick, so you might not need a duvet insert for this, but I did to make it firm and easier to move while in bed. The pillow cases are thick and heavy as well. Very well worth your money.
