There is something calming about light blue eau de toilette. The blue color means that the tablet also cleans the surface of the toilet (at least the part that comes in contact with the blue water). In addition to cleanliness, this also means that you rarely have to clean the bowl by hand. These two aspects are great qualities of toilet bowl cleaning tablets. There are basic instructions on the box. However, they are too short and not very clear. You mention removing the "gum" from the product. I assume it's a wrapper around the blue disc. However, the product description mentions that the packaging is water soluble and will dissolve. Using it is pretty easy. Just open the toilet bowl and put a pill in it. Replace cap. Wait at least ten minutes, this should be enough for the disk to sufficiently dissolve in the aquarium water. I didn't actually close the gas cap so I could check and make sure the plastic had dissolved. The water turned blue. I flushed the toilet and verified that the tank's internal mechanisms (like the flush valve and lid) were not obstructed. Everything seemed fine so I sent the gas cap back. They claim that one disc lasts for about 300 flushes at normal room temperature. To be fair they show the blue color to fade/dilute over time/use. This is acceptable as they indicate that it will be very light blue after 200-250 washes. It's pretty incredible. This longevity is due to their slow-release technology. Very impressive when it works properly. There are 54 tablets in it, which seems like an odd number. So far, it works like a typical toilet cleaning tablet. Need better guidance. Thus, it receives a rating of 4.25 stars.
