Installation on many types of drains, while not aesthetically pleasing, seemed very attractive. Obviously, at the first sign of mold, it needs a thorough cleaning. And it's hard to see without removing it, and often without inspecting the ground. The mold has gone so far that it permanently stains the drain guard. This photo is after a desperate game of running through the top rack of my dishwasher. Less than a year later, it's garbage. Therefore, it requires complex maintenance at best and may not be safe for long-term use.
