Review on 🦴 Dritz 565-9 Featherlite Boning, White, 2-Yard Length by Carol Miller

I've never used bones in clothes. I ordered a 1/4" boning as indicated on the pattern. I received a package that said 1/4" boning and it's very good except for one major flaw - it's actually 1/2 "wide. The boning itself is 1/4" wide, but it is covered with fabric, resulting in an overall width of 1/2" wide. My pattern calls for it to go into a 3/8" wide button placket inserted at the seams of the bodice - obviously something like 1/2". the width doesn't fit in there. Luckily I only tried this in one seam and found the problem. I solved it by boning next to sewed on the seam with a zipper foot and then ran the seam allowance in the bone and sewed the other side with a zipper foot as well, it worked well and the product is actually very good - just wish the measurements were in the product description and on clearly stated on the packaging I appreciate the instructions on how to apply s more curve to body I might not have done it differently.
