Pretty good, the best of fasteners

Very flexible, was looking for something more permanent but it worked and held up very well. Comfortable and durable.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not the best

Good product. - Sewing supplies and supplies

I bought a small bag at a fabric store. I got a larger quantity from you at a much better price. I was exactly what I was looking for.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Large and bulky

The plastic is rough, the lid crumbles

Generally normal. The plastic bone was difficult to cut at the end, giving it a rounded shape, it was still sharp in places, and I couldn't smooth it out. The polyester coating wears away with every cut.

Pros
  • Gives a pleasant feeling
Cons
  • Disturbs

Great for a bustier!

I used Oleg Cassini to sew underwires into a vintage bustier. Tips: Pull out bones and sew up channels. To do this, soak the bones in boiling hot water for about 10-15 minutes, then place heavy books on top to flatten the bones. When everything is dry and the channels are fully sewn up, go back!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Glad I bought these instead of the expensive flat steel bones

I didn't think these bones would be strong enough to withstand a heavy strapless dress but they are! I'm glad I bought these instead of expensive flat steel bones. I know a lot of people suggest not using these boning in curves, but I used them in the side seams of my dress and it worked beautifully. I have a very thin waist and large bust so it was quite pronounced. When installing the case, I recommend using a zipper foot.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Width problem

I've never used bones in clothes. I ordered a 1/4" boning as indicated on the pattern. I received a package that said 1/4" boning and it's very good except for one major flaw - it's actually 1/2 "wide. The boning itself is 1/4" wide, but it is covered with fabric, resulting in an overall width of 1/2" wide. My pattern calls for it to go into a 3/8" wide button placket inserted at the seams of the bodice - obviously something like 1/2". the width doesn't fit in there. Luckily I only tried this…

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
