Don't buy this! good for safety

We bought this gate because we have an odd shape at the bottom of the stairs in our new home. Tension to keep the gate stable. We were able to use better quality Mollys to overcome the first problem and are still trying to find a solution to the problem. Essentially, the gate is mounted into the wall, and while this isn't the most interesting process, it's not that difficult if you provide your own mollies. Regarding tension, there are four points where you can "adjust" the tension to make the gate work. don't slide on the floor. The two on the edges work well, but the two in the middle are pretty much useless or useless. We're trying to find something to slide under each of the middle stress points to keep the gate from moving as the door opens and closes, but still looking. I understand that floors are not always 100% level, but we are working with a freshly polished hardwood floor that has no noticeable leveling problems. The gate must be adjustable enough to work in this situation. Luckily they're at the bottom of the stairs so we can leave them installed while we try to fix them, but do yourself a favor and find another gate.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Requires an electrical outlet
