This is a very nice rug and I bought it next to my bed as we just got hardwood floors and I like to have something to dry my feet a bit before going to bed. I thought it would work but unfortunately the top/design is a sticky, plastic coated material that you CANNOT rub your feet on and to be honest I didn't like stepping on it barefoot. I felt chemical, the smell and feel of it is not at all self-evident when striving for such an aesthetic. I hated it for my bedroom but figured it might be nice on the porch under my new glider because of that weird sticky plastic texture. I took it there and one day it rained and the whole black pattern (paint I guess?!) got wet and bled all over the white parts of the carpet and on MY PORCH. I don't even want to throw it in the washing machine for fear it will ruin my washing machine. Just checked and it's dry cleaning only 😏 cute. I'm just going to throw it away because it's completely useless to me at the moment. Also unattractive and now I have a LARGE BAG to clean up on the porch. Buyer Warning! There shouldn't be such problems with the carpet 😂
