Fantastic product that holds like crazy and is also easy to remove if needed I make pickguards for guitars and need a product with great adhesion and one that is easy to remove when my work is finished. This is a huge roll, so it's going to last forever. I used it to keep a rug in place on top of carpeting. It is super sticky, so have someone help you especially with larger rugs because once you set it down it's gonna stay there. Our rugs use to move and bunch up all the time even thought we bought a thing to go under it, but I guess those only work on hard wood or tile flooring. My house is a circus! I have 3 big dogs that run through the dog door like bats out of - you know where! My rug was all over my wood floor and I need the rug because the old dog have bad hips and slips. This tape is so amazing! I applied the tape - it tears with your hands - no scissors needed; pressed the rug to the floor; OMG this tape works so well. The rug has not moved even a half inch. This tape is amazing! I purchased the roll in December of 2016 and I still have about half of the roll left. This product is a good temporary solution, like if you have guests over and you want to keep your rug straight. It is definitely NOT a long term solution. I used this on my 5x7 rug in a room with very little traffic and the rug stayed flat for about 1 month. I did not apply the tape on the entire perimeter of the rug, only about 1-6 inch piece every 6 inches. Applying the tape is a bit tricky so make sure you have sharp scissors and a smooth, lint-free surface to lay the roll down after cutting

Needed to put some rugs down to make a path for our older female dog - had slipped on the tile & her hip strength isn't what it was when she was younger. This tape works great - best price for the greatest length. I use it inside & out for adhering indoor and outdoor rugs to tile.

This stuff is a little tricky to work with - I finally settled on using a box cutter because a scissor kept getting stuck. Of course, I wouldn't recommend that approach to anyone who is clumsy :-) . BUT, the tape itself is all that it should be. Sticks well and true, with a backing cover that slides off nicely (go slowly so you don't tear it) so you can put one side down firmly and then reveal the sticky other side when you are ready. I used this tape to hold a large area rug over existing glued down carpet and so far, I am pleased with the end results. I used a scalpel to cut the tape because scissors did not do the job.

I have many rugs in my house both on tile and on carpet. I put this tape around the perimeter of the entrance rug that sits on carpet and it has been two weeks now and it has not budged. I've ordered in the past and reorder whenever we swap out area rugs. With large dogs in the house, the rugs used to slide all over. Using this tape keeps them in place. The product was just as promised and the vendor shipped very quickly. Will definitely buy again.

I can finally write a review for this tape. I bought it a few months ago and didn't use it right away. A couple of months ago, I finally used it for 2 area rugs. The rugs don't move at all! One of the rugs is a runner, and I just bought another. I wanted to swap them out, so I was able to easily pull the rug up and put the other one down. The second one doesn't move at all either! LOVE IT! After the consistent disappointment with other brands, I can happily say that THIS TAPE keeps all of our rugs in place even with heavy traffic throughout the house. I've been using this brand for 5 years, now. I use this to hold down the sticky mats on job-sites. Would I use this on wood or any other surface, that is a finished surface, NO! I would get a tape that has a lot less adhesion or use some other method rather than chance ruining a finished surface. There are tapes with light adhesion, but this ain't it. Had high hopes for this stuff and was not disappointed. I wanted to start small and used it on a small rug over carpet. This rug always moved when you walked over it. It doesn't do that now. This Carpet Tape does the job very well. Used it for attaching a long hallway runner and pad which kept moving. Even with reading reviews of how to use it, it took some getting used to. Using scissors, I found that using sliding motion when cutting worked better than a normal cutting motion. To prevent it sticking to my scissors, I used some Skin so Soft wiped over the blades. It is very sticky on the sides so I had a bit of a struggle getting the wrapping out. For the most part it resolved our problem and we no longer trip on the rug but on some parts of the rug it comes a bit up and I step on it to push it down. I put it on a 5X8 rug on our living room laminate wood floors.
