I have many rugs in my house both on tile and on carpet. I put this tape around the perimeter of the entrance rug that sits on carpet and it has been two weeks now and it has not budged. I also put just a few pieces on each end of the smaller rugs in my tiled kitchen. Those have not moved either. I play catch with my Border Collie and normally after a game of catch the rugs in the kitchen all end up in a pile next to the cabinets. After using this carpet tape (and I only used small pieces on each end) the rugs are still where I put them after numerous games of catch. I'd recommend this tape and also worth noting is that it came in a very large roll so it will last for a long time.
