This Stuff Really Sticks!

Just started using the tape so no impression about longer term performance but it has great adhesion! The first indication of stickiness comes with removing the clear plastic packaging from the exposed tape material on the sides of the roll (the face of the tape has a protective covering that also must be removed with care to prevent tearing). Other than these inconveniences, it's a wonder worker to hold rugs in place. I expect the tape to hold until the rugs need replacing and then removing…

Pros
  • Doesn't produce a strong odor
Cons
  • Can be challenging to remove from the flooring without damaging it

Professional Rug Tape

The tape really holds the rugs in place. We have three six by twelve rugs and the tape holds them together in a high traffic area. A walker glides over the seams without catching on the edges. I have no idea if it is easy to remove. I haven't had a reason to remove the tape.

Pros
  • Doesn't damage delicate flooring surfaces
Cons
  • May not work well with certain types of carpet padding

Easy to use good for me

Worked really well. Carpeted patio stuck really well easy to use and peel. Was able to remove my mistakes easily and after a day was stuck on well. Used 4 in 40.

Pros
  • Can be used on a variety of surfaces, not just rugs
Cons
  • Tape may not stick to previously used areas

Works great for my opinion

This stuff really works. It holds my carpet-style stair treads on my painted wood stairs very effectively, so my cats can get up and down my steep stairs more easily. Prior to the carpet tape, they were snagging them with their claws and pulling the treads down on top of themselves, making the stairs more hazardous instead of less. I have only had it for month or two, so I can't comment on how well it ages, yet; i.e., how often I will have to replace it.It did pull the paint off my stairs, the…

Pros
  • SAFE ON ALL SURFACES – Wood, Tile, Stone, Laminate, Mats, or Carpet. Designed to bond to Rough or Smooth Surfaces. It also doesn’t leave any sticky residue behind! Better than Rug Corner Grippers & Other 2 Sided Tapes!
Cons
  • Adhesive strength may vary depending on room humidity

Works as Advertised

This tape sticks! The reviews saying it doesn’t stick probably didn’t remove the backing paper. Get it right the first time or pull up fast to reposition. I have tried to remove it so left that part of the review blank. Time will tell but works great to keep our area rugs in place.

Pros
  • Can be used on high-traffic areas without losing grip
Cons
  • May not work well on carpets with loose fibers

It works! best in my review

I moved into an apartment that had stains on the rugs and though I cleaned them, I had no luck. I found some rugs to cover them, but was constantly tripping over them. I purchased this tape because it said it would stick to rugs, while most of the other seemed to be only for hard surfaces. The tape was easy to apply and sticks well. All my rugs are now firmly attacked with no slipping. I had plenty of tape to stick all the rugs down with some to spare. I would highly recommend this tape to…

Pros
  • 40-yard length means fewer interruptions for re-applying
Cons
  • May be difficult to cut to size without specialized tools

Easy to use good for me

I used the product to fasten carpet to concrete floor. It served the purpose I needed. Good value for the money. May be challenging to cut to size for rugs with unusual shapes or sizes.

Pros
  • Can be used with other types of tape for added strength
Cons
  • May be challenging to cut to size for rugs with unusual shapes or sizes

Double sided adhesive (carpet tape)

Works well for stair treads. Use sharp scissors to cut as the adhesive can gum up a dull pair quickly. Hold is strong, so far.

Pros
  • Can be repositioned if not positioned correctly the first time
Cons
  • Tape may not adhere well with rugs made of synthetic materials

Worked exactly as I had hoped!

We have two rug runners that were always sliding around even though we had a non slip pad underneath each. One runner is quite long, approximately 12 feet in length and made of a heavy wool. The other runner is shorter and lightweight. This tape solved the movement issue for both rugs! As a bonus, it also deducted the overall "height” of the thicker wool runner so that the front door passes over that rug without any contact. I have not tried to remove this tape yet so I can’t really give it a…

Pros
  • Can be cut to size for custom lengths
Cons
  • Adhesive may transfer to clothing or other articles

Huge role of it - I needed it for a 10x5 area rug in my main entryway that was sliding all overOnly minor complaint is that it was difficult to get the packaging off and the tape is sticky from the sides. Yet that's minor.Easy to roll out and easy to use. I then put a bit of plastic wrap on the sides of the role for storage. Enough for a lot of rugs.

Pros
  • Can be used with adhesive on both sides for added security
Cons
  • May not work well with carpets that have deep pile

HUGE roll of tape! best in my review

Although this roll of tape is a little expensive, you get a lot of tape and it really works. I taped down two 7' x 5' area rugs to my wall to wall carpet and used only about half the roll. The rugs haven't moved in over a week. I used five strips of tape at one end of each rug and it's held to the carpet rock solid. If I grab the other end of the rug and try to pull the rug towards me I can't move it using all my strength. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Easy to cut and trim for odd-shaped areas
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with carpets that have been treated with anti-slip coating

Works well for my opinion

I used this to hold down padding and carpet remnants on my cement basement floor for a playroom. So far so good! The kids running around and playing haven't budged the carpet and neither has us dragging boxes and heavy containers on it! My husband is obsessed and wants to do more.

Pros
  • We used to tape a rug onto a carpet and smooth out the wrinkles. Worked very well.
Cons
  • May not adhere well to certain types of carpet fibers

WORKS GREAT! good for me

Oh my God - it works! I had tried so many different things to keep a 5’ x 7’ area rug placed on carpet from moving that I was about to give up and just throw the rug away - this tape was a last and final effort and it worked great! Was easy to apply - just had to be careful when turning the rug back over. It’s only been in place for a few days and it hasn’t moved or bunched at all! I’ve vacuumed over it - stayed perfectly in place. Dogs are running over it all day - it is in high traffic area -

Pros
  • Home Décor Products
Cons
  • Tape may not grip securely enough for high-traffic areas

Recommended for surfaces that ARENT carpet!

I thought this product was great until I removed the runners that I had taped to my carpet. The tape left dirty lines of glue residue and I have no idea how to get it out.

Pros
  • Rug Grip Tape & Pads
Cons
  • May not work well with heavier or thicker carpets

I have a nice 5' x 8' Oriental Rug in my small home .

At last. A carpet tape that really works! I have a nice 5' x 8' Oriental Rug in my small home office. It's positioned directly{on medium pile carpet) in front of my roll top desk. I did not want a plastic floor mat underneath my chair so I started out using triangle adhesive grippers. Bad news as my rug still kept bunching up at the desk every time i rolled back from it. The doubled tape promptly arrived and I was immediately impressed by double-sided adhesive. I rolled up the rug, positioned…

Pros
  • Saves time and effort by keeping rugs in place
Cons
  • The tape can be difficult to apply evenly

Best carpet tape after trying several. Read more

It really does keep the rug in place! It will stick to whichever flooring you try. Just know that it’s a one and done type of product. Once you pull up the rug to clean it, you can’t re-stick it with any assurances it will stay in place the second time. But it did keep my runner EXACTLY where I stuck it on the carpet. I had a carpet issue that needed to be covered and so used this tape with a runner. Worked great. When you want to remove it I had no issue pulling it up slowly from the carpet. But

Pros
  • Easy to apply and remove without leaving residue
Cons
  • May be difficult to apply without wrinkles or air bubbles

It's keeping a very logo mat in place!

This sticky tape really did the job! It's fantastic. I was looking for something to keep our 10 ft X 6ft logo entrance mat in place that was placed on top of our floors carpeting. The logo mat no longer bunches up when a cart is rolled over it :) Extremely happy to have solved a tripping hazard.Because of the great adhesion, I am a bit concerned about potential residue remaining on the floor's carpet once we lift up the logo mat to clean. I'm counting on the reviews I read to be accurate and…

Works better than anything I've tried before.

It took Goo-Gone to clean my scissors after cutting all the pieces - but it was well worth it. My rugs stay put. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • Large roll size may be difficult to store

EXCELLENT PRODUCT - FAR EXCEEDS SIMILAR PRODUCTS I'VE USED

RULE 1: PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCERULE 2 SEE RULE ONERULE 3: HAVE A PLANRULE 4: NO SCISSORS. THEY WILL STICK BADLY. USE A SHARP KNIFE.RULE 5: DON'T CUT YOUR SELF.I'VE USED TAPE, STRIPS, PADS BEFORE THIS PRODUCT BY FAR HAS THE MOST ADHESION. THE BACKING COMES OFF EASILY, BUT YOU NEED FINGERNAILS. I DID 3 RUGS 7' X 22" AND HAVE A LITTLE LEFT. I USED A LOT OF TAPE. PAST PRODUCTS WERE POOR AND I WANTED THESE TO STAY PUT. MY IMPRESSION ON REMOVAL AND RE-INSTALL IS IT WILL YIELD POOR RESULTS. I…

Pros
  • Non-slip feature works with heavy objects as well as lighter ones
Cons
  • Tape may cause damage to some types of flooring, such as hardwood

Great for fake wood floors

Yes it's difficult to use and cut, but works so well that I've come to with ways to make it easier. Whenever cutting, I hold the roll tight between my knees, pull the tape tight and use sharp kitchen scissors. Cut fast! To store, wrap in parchment paper.

Pros
  • STRONG ANTI-SLIP TECHNOLOGY – Our Carpet Tape was specifically designed to grip any surface and hold it in place. No More Slipping on Loose Rugs or Carpet. More affordable solution to Rug Gripper Pads.
Cons
  • Tape may not work well on uneven surfaces
