I don't like using pesticides in my house as they are very toxic in very small amounts. It's a much safer alternative! This LINKPAL Electronic Bug Zapper is just what I needed. It works with all types of flying insects. Figure 1 shows a well-made compact that I received with the instructions. It uses 2x10W UV (black light) lamps. It is designed for dry weather use only; A covered porch should be fine as long as the rain can't get on it. On fig. 4 shows how the device was put on and turned on. To clean, simply turn off the device, pull out the plastic tray and empty it in the trash, wipe the tray clean with a paper towel and you are ready for more ZAPPED bugs! TIP: Some insect remains fall on the floor, there is nothing underneath that cannot be easily vacuumed up. Hanging high up gives the best results, especially away from window light. The seller includes 2 clips and a short chain for hanging. (Figure 2). The 110V power cord is about 4 feet long, so plan accordingly. The device has an on/off switch. The entire device consumes only 25W at 110V, so it can be left on all the time without using much energy. Leaving it on instead of constantly turning it on and off (except when cleaning the grille) will extend the life of the lamp. I don't know what the lifespan of the lamps will be, but I don't expect any problems, spare parts are readily available. Figure 3 shows the side cover lowered to allow access to the lamps should they need to be replaced. I'm a bit concerned that the little springs holding this side screen in place could cause the screen to accidentally move so it touches the electronic grille. This would be a serious electrical hazard! Before switching on, make sure the side rails are correctly positioned with the top in the slot! When replacing the lamps, follow the safety precautions to avoid electric shock or injury. Keep this away from children. Be sure to unplug the device and discharge the charge before changing a lightbulb or removing bug debris from the screen. The lower plastic fish bowl (see image 2) slides out and can be cleaned without lowering the grate. This works way better than other flying insect traps and killers like old-fashioned sticky paper rolls. UV light is effective against wasps, hornets, mosquitoes, gnats, etc. It makes a loud ZAP! POP! when he kills a flying vermin. If the sound bothers you, it's still better than enduring a painful bite! The device makes NO noise until the bug is destroyed. I recommend this LINKPAL brand electronic bug. It is very effective and has great value! I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
