I like that they are leather. And they seem to have a pretty solid rubber tread. I saw some bad reviews there so I had to add my good one. I think some people just accidentally received a pair that didn't pass quality control. I measured my child's feet and chose the size according to the chart. The shoes are a bit big but I expected them to be like that as I believe my daughter is over 3.5 now and we had to get four. These shoes are absolutely adorable. I would definitely buy myself a pair if they made them for adults! The color is also as expected. We just received them today and she wore them most of the day. She didn't seem to feel any discomfort. These shoes look like they will be comfortable. They hold up well but are very easy for a child to remove with velcro. It's not a shock either. They are also not hard and do not have any sharp edges that would rub against my child's feet or ankles. They have a soft lining. These shoes are everything I hoped and wished for. I will update if they fall apart for some reason but I think these shoes will be great. I plan to buy these shoes in the following sizes as long as they last through the summer.
