I don't know how you got this picture. Mine doesn't open that far, making it difficult to put fresh eggs in the back row without removing the front row. That issue aside, it's good and meets the need we had with our chickens.

I currently live in an apartment with a small fridge so I'm always looking for something that will work as intended and save space so I have room for the rest of my products. It fits great (and fits in a larger fridge too), is easy to access and easily supports the weight of 18 large/extra large eggs.

Definitely disappointed with this product. If you look at the promotional photos, you will see a refrigerator with narrow straight shelves. My fridge shelves have a slight curve at the front and are thicker which drastically reduces the strength with which it hangs on the shelf - see photo. It doesn't "snap" either. I definitely reckon that I'll have to wash the eggs at some point.

I've spent a lot of time researching these things and for the price and the reviews I thought this was my best option. It worked well, freed up some shelf space for us in our side fridge, and after about a month and a half one of the hooks started slipping and wouldn't stay in place - obviously not badly. Since our returns window was closed I just kept going and the gorilla glued it, damn it, and it's working fine again - until the next hook breaks of course.

The plastic is not entirely glassy/transparent - it has a milky-white hue. The clips holding it to the shelf are for a really thick shelf (who has fridge shelves that thick?) so it still dangles/wiggles in its tightest position. The drawer doesn't slide all the way out (it "locks" presumably so you don't accidentally pull it out too far and drop your balls). I gave this unit a 4 because when I snapped the plastic inserts into the shell, one of them broke off for no other reason than they were made cheaply. However, I super glued the plastic tray hanger into the broken piece and adjusted the length and successfully hung the unit on the fridge shelf. I found it easier to take the entire shelf out of the fridge, then adjust the sides to the exact size of the shelf and put it back in the fridge. The egg holder looks good and works well.
