The product description says it's good for pet hair and short pile carpets, but it isn't. The hair gets tangled in the rotating brush of the vacuum cleaner and cannot be removed or disassembled for cleaning due to the poor design, so after a few months the rotating brush stops rotating. Also, before the rug mount stops working due to tangled hair, it only works with very low pile rugs less than 1/8" or maybe lint free rugs like sisal rugs, but this doesn't work with my heavy duty rug or something over 1/8". It baffles me that such an expensive vacuum cleaner can't vacuum carpets. Miele's customer service also leaves a lot to be desired. Save money and get something different
