Review on Monoprice Zero G Curved Gaming Monitor 35" - Immersive Ultrawide Display for Unmatched Gaming Experience by Edward Foreman

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Bad case design, overheating.

It's been a year and a half (so out of warranty of course) and this monitor is slowly dying, every input dimming after shorter use. I opened it up hoping to see the burnt lids, but it can't be that easy. What stood out was the terrible lack of thermal management. The case is fairly sealed with no chance of cooling, and it gets pretty hot. I've removed the fairing and LEDs and even drilled a few extra holes but I think the damage is already done and the boards are welded. I wouldn't buy another one of these. Too bad, because when it works, it looks good.
