Review on πŸ“· Tamron 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD IS Zoom Lens for Nikon (FX) Cameras - AFA010N700 by Jason Unruh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

8 even for occasional photography because for me there wasn't a good option that I liked or .

I have a Canon 6D and so far a Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 and a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 also for occasional shots because there was no suitable option for me. that I liked or wanted to spend money on. That is, until I found this. I can't believe I didn't notice this lens before. Turns out it's something I really enjoy shooting with! I had to fine tune the telephoto end to -5 but left the wide end at zero. I can say that after some photo testing I found that it was pretty sharp at 28mm, a little blurry at 35mm, pretty sharp at 50mm, a little blurry again at 70mm (which is odd because it was also at 35mm ). ). mm, half as much), but sharply staple from 100-300 in the middle. Autofocus isn't instant, so be patient. I've also found that I get the best results by moving the focus ring a bit before autofocusing. The lens is attractive and feels good in hand, and with this range I couldn't be happier on personal trips where I'm just shooting for fun (like hiking, visiting the park). I wouldn't use it for professional shooting, I'll leave that to the other two 2.8 specialty lenses, but for general shooting it's a great deal.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
