I love this duvet cover and pillowcases! If this is your first time receiving this I would definitely recommend washing it. Due to the fact that it's new, shed and static, but nothing unexpected. REMOVE AND TURN ON DELICATE BEFORE WASHING/DRYING. &lt;- this step is very important to keep your duvet and pillowcases soft and looking brand new (I also noticed some people in the reviews wanted to buy this who didn't read the description/just didn't follow the directions on the guide got tags and ended up spoiling their ceiling). The duvet is very thick/heavy so you easily stay warm.
