I am very satisfied with the end result of AKIA's 125 inch fixed bezel screen. I managed to completely assemble the screen on my own. At first I was concerned that the canvas material would not stretch on the frame and I was certain that the wrong size canvas had been sent to me. I contacted support by phone and received assistance that convinced me to proceed. I watched a few videos on how to build this type of spring screen and slowly but surely I was able to complete the process. My settings may differ from most. I basically made a ceiling mount (actually suspended from L-brackets) so the frame is about 8 inches from my wall. This was necessary as I had 2 windows behind my wall which would limit the screen size. I used to have a custom 82 inch projection screen that fit between two windows on the wall. I've always wanted to be much bigger on screen, but initially I thought it was impossible. Here's what I ended up doing: I added 6 L brackets to the top of my wall. Four brackets are included to support the screen with the included wall brackets. (The instructions say to use 2 top brackets and 2 bottom brackets. I modified this and put all 4 wall brackets on top. I bought a large Revain curtain rod that can be adjusted from 120 to 170 inches I also purchased 8 panels of 100% theater quality blackout curtain panels, 52" x 95". 6 panels were black and for the ends I used 2 red panels the background of the 2 windows was dimmed and I now had complete control over the lighting in the room. This allowed me to mount the screen to an L bracket and wall brackets to keep the screen floating.Wire or other mounting options would also work here work The screen tended to lean slightly towards the wall For this reason I placed 2 additional L-brackets at the bottom of the screen and hit the bezel so the screen was now oriented completely vertical. The curtain panels completely hide all mounts and the screen has a beautiful floating look. I am considering adding 2 4x4 blocks cut from the ground to the bottom of the screen to ease the pressure on the bottom of the screen. To be honest I'm not sure if it's even necessary as the frame holding this screen is very solid and I doubt sagging will occur over time. Overall I am very happy with the result and believe the screen is of exceptional quality and a very good product. The only issues I had were the following: Tension Bars: The horizontal bars were fine with proper overlap. 2 vertical bars were too short. The length of the rod was just the length of the outer holes of the fabric. This breaks a mounting hole on one side. I ended up having to buy 2 brass rods of the same diameter to get an overlap to attach the springs to the frame. Although it's not mentioned anywhere in the instructions, I found it much easier to mount the shields with the spring pointing in a specific direction. One end of the spring seems to form a perfect half circle (better for a pull rod) and the other end has a smaller angle, and that end seems easier to attach to the metal frame. Also, I found that in many cases it was easier to run the spring out first by attaching it to the frame and then pulling it out through the pull rod hole. The supplied Allen key was not of the highest quality. When I tightened the screws it started to peel off. I switched to a much higher quality hex wrench, which greatly improved my ability to tighten all of the bolts without slipping or streaking. In general I am very satisfied with the result. It's a bit of work and my fingers are still a little numb from stretching the springs into place, but the included tool gets the job done.
