This is a good alternative if you don't have room for a regular single din switch like the Uniden 980SSB. I'm only giving it four stars because I think the key mapping could be better. For example instead of the pa/cb key. Make the weather button long press for pa/cb. Who uses PA generally more. I compared President Andy, President Bill, President Johnny III and Uniden 980SSB (already used Uniden as base station). I didn't have room for Uniden, so I went with President Andy. The turning point between all Presidential models was speaker volume. So I don't need an external speaker. With Bill's model I would definitely need an external loudspeaker, maybe with Johnny's model. Uniden and Pres Andy had good speakers to match. Small Pro size, bright screen, big screen numbers, speakers, decently sized buttons, separate noise and volume controls, talkback, 7 screen colors. Weather button, no dedicated scan button (you have to press and hold the channel change button for a few seconds to activate the scan, if you hear a beep, that's annoying), buttons to change channel, the button is only emg 9 (9/normal ), scanning is a bit slow, no channel buttons on the microphone
