My daughter was very comfortable in these sneakers. She had a hard time putting them on at first, but after about a week they were worn enough. The soles feel very durable and I don't think they will break down as quickly as some other children's shoes. I'm not a fan of foam soles and was glad to see they didn't have them. My daughter has just outgrown her size 13 sneakers (Asics). They really squeezed their fingers so I ordered 1.5. thought it would give her some room to grow. Well, 1.5 was huge. So I ordered 1 and they are perfect. Enough room in the toe but not loose in the heel. I also left the 1.5 as she outgrows the 1 because it's really comfortable for her to walk into and doesn't blister. A note about the laces. Size 1 has bungee laces that don't need to be tied. 1.5 has regular laces.
