Review on ๐Ÿพ Penn-Plax Sisal Corner Wall Mount Cat Scratcher Post and Perch, CATF77 by Tomeka Parker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The second was reinforced with shiny screws

Determine how you really want to use it. I had to return the first one. The base barely survived. But it could have been damaged in transit as it came in a box that was too big and nothing was there during transit to hold its apartment sized room. With the new one I noticed that the new one had screws at the top and bottom. The first not. Attached picture showing the top screws (same on the bottom). These screws definitely made the difference between the condition of the first and second and the ability to lift and move the scraper at the top. Also attached is a picture of the base where the inner part that rests against the wall is separated. on the side and you can see the nails or staples or whatever that should hold it together (same what the top and bottom of the first supplied before the improved shiny carpet screws were supposed to hold). I would return it just because I can put my finger in it which means my pet can too. But I've seen them play with it and I think they'll be fine. I have also included a picture of 4 square velcro tabs to use if you are attaching this to a wall corner. It's only up, but not down. Since I will not be using Velcro, I refrain from expressing my personal opinion. Just wanted to show a picture of it as I didn't remember seeing it when ordering from Revain. If you have strong pets playing on hard and parquet floors, it may slip because there is no rubber grips at the bottom and velcro only at the top. Seems like it needs a little redesign, but the concept is good. My cats love playing on and around it so I bought one and kept the other for myself.
